What exactly does a saxophone overhaul entail?
A saxophone overhaul is a comprehensive maintenance service in which the instrument is completely checked, cleaned, parts are repaired or replaced, and all pads and springs are checked for optimal playability.
How long does an overhaul take?
The overhaul time varies depending on the condition of the saxophone, but on average an overhaul takes 5 to 10 working days.
How do I ship my saxophone?
You can send your saxophone to us well packed and insured. Preferably use a sturdy box and filling materials to prevent damage. You will receive address and shipping instructions when making an appointment.
Can I also bring my saxophone?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your saxophone to us by appointment. This way we can immediately assess the condition of the instrument and give you advice.
What if additional repairs are needed?
If during the overhaul it appears that additional repairs are necessary, we will contact you for consultation and approval before proceeding.
What pads do you use?
We mainly use Pisoni pads, which are known for their high quality, durability and perfect fit.
How does the overhaul work for Buescher saxophones with snap-on pads and/or Norton springs?
For Buescher saxophones with snap-on pads and Norton springs we have special experience and techniques to carry out the overhaul carefully without affecting the original character of the instrument.
Can I get my saxophone back before the overhaul is completed?
Because a revision is a precise process, we recommend not to ask for the instrument back in the meantime. In urgent cases we can discuss this.
What is the warranty on the overhaul?
We provide a 6-month warranty on all revision work and materials used.
What if my saxophone gets damaged during transport?
We recommend always shipping insured. In case of damage during transport you can claim the damage from the carrier. We treat your instrument with the utmost care once it has arrived at our premises.
Can I request an emergency revision?
Yes, emergency revisions are possible depending on our planning. Contact us for availability and rates.
Which saxophone models can be reconditioned?
We overhaul all common saxophone models, from student to professional, including vintage instruments.
